Domestic Aid Program
HELPING THOSE CLOSE TO HOME

Healing the Children® New Jersey has assisted 33 individual children in 2009 in our Domestic Aid Program. We received referrals from schools, hospital social workers, and Special Child Health Services departments in various counties throughout the state of New Jersey.

We have helped families with children who have a chronic medical condition or developmental disability in a variety of ways:

• Financial assistance toward the cost of catheters.
• Financial contribution to defray the cost of bilateral hearing aids.
• Partial payment of special needs summer camps, day care, exercise programs and physical therapy.
• Purchase of prescription medications and over-the-counter items.
• Contribution toward the cost of Pediasure and Elecare formulas.
• Partial payment of a wheelchair.
